This made us very excited because almost none of the attendees had had the opportunity to put on a shawl of that category, “says a student assistant to the visit.

Based on what the students learned during the visit, they were able to draw conclusions such as the ideal dimension of the shawl, which is the one that covers the entire back and reaches the end of each arm, when they are placed in a cross position.
Regarding the mantilla, its length has to be a bit longer than the length of the dress. In addition, the black mantilla from Easter must be worn in a black long sleeve or French dress and long below the knee.
Moreover, according to some historians, the mantilla is a complement that has its origin in the Muslim tradition. Arab women covered their hair as it is ordered by their religion and perhaps this custom passed to Christian women. The popularization is due to the use of this complement made by Queen Elizabeth II in Seville, especially in weddings and processions of Holy Week.
