On October 3rd, the students of 1st and 2nd of Animation Cycle attended a new edition of Prime the Animation! held at the Fine Arts Faculty of the UPV. This exhibition is especially aimed at students and wants to be a meeting point and exchange of ideas with creators from all over the world.

They went to the conference of Nacho Rodríguez, animator and director specialized in 2D techniques who has made pieces for the Internet and the advertising sector. He has also worked on video games and directed video clips, areas in which he focused his talk.

In addition, they attended Gif Me More, a screening of animated gifs made by UPV students, teachers and former students. They could enjoy viewing a selection of the works presented by students from schools in countries such as Germany, France, Korea or the United States.

During this day, the students checked the creative and professional options offered by the knowledge they are acquiring and the multiplicity of languages that can be developed with the techniques also learned.

On October 1st and 2n, at the same venue, the Cartoon Springobard was organized by Creative Europe MEDIA. Over the course of 3 days, students from Europe’s best animation schools presented their projects and were tutored by professionals from platforms such as Netflix, the BBC or Sony Pictures.

Teachers from the Animation department of the School came to know the initiative with the intention of presenting projects to next year’s call.
