‘Sensus’ by Laura Calbo selected at the GadeamusProjecta awards

The Final Title Work of Graphic Design former student Laura Calbo has been the only project of the Valencian Community selected in the GaudeamusProjecta awards. The event is organized by the Official College of Graphic Design of Catalonia and seeks to “reward young talent and excellence of the works, disseminate them, support the authors and recognize tutors and the centers of study”.

Laura Calbo’s project, tutored by Antonio Fernández and Joel Garcia, is ‘Sensus: Graphic Approximation and Synesthetic Derivations’ in which she has developed a deep research on the perceptual phenomenon of synesthesia throughout history. She has also studied the links
between synesthesia and the plastic and graphic arts and has performed a graphic experiment
with all the information obtained.

On March 24th in the morning there will be a public presentation of all the selected works to the History Museum of Barcelona and that same afternoon the winners will be unveiled at the IEC headquarters. There is a GaudeamusProjecta award, as well as four special prizes – Innova, Tecnia, Natura and Humana – and seven runner-up awards.
