Laura Agustí

The importance of social networks in the field of illustration

On Friday, May 19th, at 11 a.m. Laura Agustí will give a lecture at the auditorium of Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny d’Alcoi in which she will review her trajectory, from the beginning and evolution to the current situation, highlighting the importance of social networks, explaining how they influence in the diffusion and repercussion in the professional level in the field of illustration.

Agustí holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Miguel Hernández University, in the specialty of painting, and completed her training with the title of Interior Design at the Massana School in Barcelona. After 10 years behind the stretchers frame and brushes, she has decided to focus on the illustration as a way of expression.

Her work of delicate lines with romantic air reminds us of past times, without losing a present touch. Her drawings can be seen on magazine covers (Maasäi), blogs (Lamono, New Indie Folks), record designs (Mc Enroe, Suey), posters (Van Van Market), events (Absolut, Vino Afortunado, Friday’s Project), in textile (Dear Tee, Costalamel, The Artee Project, Bendito Company), in product for national brands (Cafés Mama Same, Tenbei) and international brands (I like paper, Bessoted)

He has also exhibited individually at Galeria Miscelánea (Barcelona), The Gallery (Barcelona) and Kauf (Valencia), as well as other collective exhibitions at Diluvio Universal (Barcelona) and Échale Guindas (Madrid) galleries. He has also developed curatorial functions by organizing a collective exhibition where 50 artists versioned a drawing of her in the gallery Miscelánea.
