The versatile Fernando Salas visits the EASDAlcoi

On Wednesday, March the 21st, the versatile designer, Fernando Salas, will hold a workshop devoted to lighting applied to space. On Thursday the 22nd, he will give a conference for the students of the SACD Alcoi, which will take place in the auditorium of the school at 10:30 a.m. and will focus on both, product design and interior design and the relationship between them.

Salas dedicates to many aspects of design, from the industrial, to interior or to product design. Among his latest works, we must highlight projects such as the Dos Torres restaurant in Barcelona, the interior design of the Molino in Barcelona (2010), the Espacio Carré showroom and the renovation of the “Único” wine cellars for the Vega Sicilia winery (2011).

In addition, he is co-author of the Hotel Grande Domino in Bilbao (2002), of the Restaurant-Concert Hall Calle 54 in Madrid (2003) or of the IKEA restaurant in Vitoria (2005), all of them carried out in collaboration with Javier Mariscal.

In the area of the product design, recent contributions include the Freddy stool for Amat-3, the Clip chair and the Paquito armchair for Uno Design or the GoodNews lamp for Cronek.

In addition, he also works as a teacher at the Eina and Elisava schools in Barcelona, the Faculty of Fine Arts of Salamanca and as a visiting professor at the Faculté De Aménagement in Montreal (Canada) and the Bolivarian University of Medellín (Colombia).
