On Wednesday, February 15, in addition to the workshop about photography by Hector Rubio, there will be also at 10:30 am in the auditorium of the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny d’Alcoi the conference entitled ‘The Yellow Tile Road’ by Julio Antonio Blasco, better known by Mr. López. The speaker is been working for more than 15 years as an illustrator and graphic designer. In the first part will be a talk-colloquium where Blasco will expose part of his professional experience, and at 12:30 an illustration workshop will be held that where he will experiment with different materials.
Julio Antonio Blasco is graduated in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de València and his work moves between illustration, painting, collage, design and even sculpture made from small objects of waste. His works are the result of the mixture of several disciplines, a collage of techniques, materials, proposals and methods.
Among his customers there are Edelvives, Anaya, Edebé, Promopress, Planeta Group, TV3, Londji, European Institute of Design, Consortium of Museums of Valencia, Ivam, Bancaja Foundation or Canal Foundation.
The work of Mr. López goes through illustration, graphic design, exhibition design, audiovisual, advertising, lectures in conferences or workshops in design schools and different spaces. In addition, he also works as a publisher in Símientes Publishers and as a cultural manager in the bookstore-gallery specialized in illustration, Estudio 64.
